Within the company, the use of an effective requirements management tool is crucial to ensure the success of projects. The objectives of such a tool are to enable the centralization, organization, and tracking of requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring better communication and a clear understanding of stakeholder needs. However, while the initial choice is important, it is equally essential to subject the chosen tool to rigorous testing to judge its adequacy with user expectations. These extensive tests verify that the tool complies with specifications, identify and correct any shortcomings, and ensure smooth integration into existing processes.

The customer
Clemessy, a subsidiary of the Eiffage Group, supports all industrial sectors by offering extensive and diversified expertise. Its activities cover the entire project lifecycle, from audit and design to integration, solution implementation, commissioning and maintenance.
Its teams, composed of experienced engineers and project managers, ensure the safety and performance of nuclear facilities, thus contributing to the production of low-carbon energy and to France’s energy sovereignty.
A key player in the nuclear sector in France and abroad, Clemessy is involved in nuclear power plants, as well as in waste and fuel storage, storage and treatment centres. They are also involved in research reactor installations, as well as in strategic programs for military applications
The Project
Clemessy was asked to draw up a cost estimate for a project related to the construction of the Sizewell EPR. This large-scale project, located in Suffolk in the United Kingdom, consisted of the construction of two EPR-type nuclear reactors with a total capacity of 3.260 MW. The ultimate goal was to supply around 7% of the UK's electricity demand, using technology similar to that of Hinkley Point C to optimise costs and time. In order to centralize tasks, simplify processes and optimize working time, Clemessy set up a requirements management tool assisted by artificial intelligence, which, upstream, had to be tested by sharemundo's teams.
The challenge
In a context where time is of the essence, sharemundo had the task of conducting a detailed audit not only of the company's practices and needs, but also of the tool tested. As the intervention takes place upstream of the phase, the tool had to be quickly operational for use by the teams concerned. ShareMundo was able to carry out its mission by constantly testing the tool's capabilities to detect potential defects and identify the solutions to be provided. Being required to correct the tool directly and to be in constant contact with the software publisher, our mission also consisted in identifying inconsistencies between the practical use and the manuals provided and correcting them, thus resulting in the production of documentation associated with the tool, avoiding any potential drift.
The sharemundo solution
A Comprehensive Assessment for Successful Implementation
In order to be able to test the tool upstream of the phase and minimize its impact on ongoing projects, sharemundo was led to draw up an assessment of its current operation, as part of a call for tenders.
This led to the manual and individual identification of the prerequisites that had been set aside until then, as well as the creation of a draft user manual that aligned the needs of the projects and the existing functionalities of the tool. These modifications, coupled with user training, contributed to the success of the mission.
The implementation of the AI-assisted tendering tool and the modification of its parameters to improve detection performance were points initiated and managed by sharemundo in their entirety.
Finally, the sum of sharemundo’s actions within Clemessy has resulted in the complete automation of the identification of needs and requirements, the reduction of document analysis time to only a few minutes per hundreds of pages, and the possibility of managing a large number of documents in an optimal way.

By carrying out the evaluation of the tool selected by Clemessy, sharemundo played a crucial role in the success of its actions within the framework of the Sizewell EPR project.
The identification of the client’s needs and project requirements resulted in considerable time savings and process optimization, leading to efficient automation of actions. These elements were instrumental in the success of sharemundo’s mission.
